HI! Our refrigerator freezes most of the food in the refrigerator. Top shelf, door, lower shelves. It doesn't seem to matter where the food is located, it will freeze. I checked the resistance of the three temperature sensors and watched their resistance go up to about 15.5k Ohms as they chilled in ice water. I bought a new sensor and it behaved the same way, so I assumed all they sensors were good. Since the sensors seemed okay, I bought a new control board and replaced it. There was no change; the food continued to freeze in the refrigerator. So the next step was to go back to the sensors. I replaced the only one located in the refrigerator with the new one. There was no change. Then I replaced the lower one on the side of the freezer with the sensor I removed from the refrigerator. Still no change. The only sensor left is the one on the coils in the freezer. I don't suspect that one because the coils are not all frozen up, the defroster seems to be working okay. The damper is just a flap of plastic located in the light assembly on the left wall of the refrigerator. I don't see any problem with it. It opens and gravity closes it. What else should I check? Do you think all of my thermistors are bad, including the new one? Could the digital control board that you set the temps with be bad? Is there some other thermostat or anything else to check? David, The most common reasons for the unit getting too cold in the refrigerator section is Packages blocking the freezer return in the freezer compartment at the bottom of the back wall where it is louvered. This restrictions of the freezer return cause the fan motor to draw harder on the Refrigerator return. The wrong control board but that has been changed already, a bad ff thermistor which has also been replaced. And the last thing would be a low refrigerant charge. On a low refrigerant charge, the freezer temperature cannot get cold enough. During normal cycling the unit will toggle the fan speed between low and medium after the refrigerator is satisfied until the freezer is satisfied.
