Cspencer for Model Number GSH25JSTA SS What part will fix our water dispenser so that it dispenses the water in Our GE Refridgerator door? We have tried a new main control board which it still would not dispense water. Water line going to door, I disconnected water supply under refridgerator, set the door for water, pressed the water dispenser button, water comes out of the water line to the door. I hooked line back up to door pressed the water dispense button and it will not dispense water out of door.
Answer CSpencer, Based on your post description, a couple of things to check or try. It sounds like the water line in the door is frozen. Check for "cold" spots or condensation or frost on the hinge side of the door panel, and on the freezer door inner liner. Disconnect the water line at the hinge connection, open the freezer door to at least 90 degrees, and leave open for 30 to 45 minutes (you may want to place a small container or towel under the end of the water tube(you may want to cover the freezer compartment opening with a blanket or turn the refrigerator off) Attach the water lines together and check for water from the dispenser, if it dispenses, you will want to reset the freezer temperature a couple of degrees warmer, and check to make sure there are no air leaks at the dispenser housing, dispenser flapper or door seals.
