Mark for Model Number GE Dishwasher GSD650T60BA My dishes weren't getting clean. Upon inspection, spray arm wasn't rotating/spraying and pump/motor assembly was leaking. Replaced pump/motor assembly and checked spray arm, cleaned out small amount of debris and checked that it rotated freely and center extension did not bind up. No water is coming from spray arm and it does not operate during cycle. Checked by opening door and spray arm had not moved from hand set position. Drain solenoid works. Why isn't my spray arm functioning? Could I have plugged the new power adapter plug backwards?
Answer Hello Mark, The spray arm is spun by water pressure from the pump. When it does not spin, it indicates either a loss of pressure from the pump or a restriction preventing the waters' movement. You will have to go through the water carrying parts and ensure there are no clogs and verify the drain valve is closing and seating in the circulation pump assembly. The polarity of the drain solenoid does not matter as it will function normally either way, (non-polorized). Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, March 28, 2016
