Charles for Model Number GE Cafe CYE23TSDCSS Noticed water dripping from the front water paddle dispenser and fridge slowly warming. Freezer thawing. Evap and condenser fans are working inside fridge and freezer. Compressor not running. Any suggestions?? Thanks!
Answer Charles, it would be recommended that the inverter WR87X29409 is tested for 120VAC at the orange wire to the black wire coming from the power supply cord, and a DC voltage at the red wire to the white wire coming from the main control WR55X46805 at the red. If the voltages are present, the inverter should be operating the compressor WR87X10199. The next step would be to unplug the refrigerator power cord and test the compressor winding pins where the inverter plugs into the compressor. If the numbers EEI68 are on the compressor, the windings should measure 12.4O on each winding. If the number VEGY6H is on the compressor the windings should measure 6.4O each. Finally, if the number VEGD7H is on the compressor, the windings should measure 7.69O. If the windings test good, then the inverter has failed. Read More...
