Gary for Model Number S5200E1WW When selecting the water temperature via the dial control, the water output temperature does not correspond. You can select a point between temperatures, and at times, get a consistent temperature. However, any click beyond that point results in a cycling of the distribution valve between temperatures; hot to cold, hot to warm, etc. There are no other issues with the control board, could this be the temperature sensor or the valve? Thanks
Answer Hello Gary, In changing the temperature settings, you are changing the control procedure the electronic control uses in water temperature and this can vary from cycling from the hot to the cold water valve fill to filling with only hot. One thing about electronic controls, you cannot second guess them. If you suspect a problem, you have to determine the cycle and water temperature you have chosen and use the time chart on the tech sheet and the wiring diagram to determine if voltage is being sent to the proper components at the proper time. If the cycle is interrupted during checking the test will have to be started over since this will change the operational characteristics of the control circuit WH12X10323. You can just change this control but considering the operational characteristics, it may not change the units' operation. If you do test the circuitry by the time chart, you should begin by unplugging the washer from the wall outlet for a minimum of 2 minutes to clear out any previous commands that could still be stored in the microprocessor. This is like re-booting in the sense that you are starting with a "clean slate" in the control. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, October 14, 2014
