Electronic range control (ERC) board that manages oven functions and user interface. Replacing this control restores oven operation, including temperature regulation, timers/clock, and keypad/display responsiveness. What it does:

  • Controls bake, broil and timed cooking cycles and coordinates heating element operation.
  • Manages the oven display, clock, timers and user inputs from the touchpad/keypad.
  • Routes signals to relays/triacs to maintain the set temperature and cycle logic.
  • Common symptoms indicating a faulty ERC: blank or unresponsive display, unresponsive controls, oven not heating or not cycling correctly, and erratic behavior.
What's included: Includes one electronic range control (ERC) board. Install notes:
  • Disconnect power at the breaker before servicing to avoid shock or injury.
  • Note and label wire locations or take a photo before disconnecting harnesses; reconnect connectors to original positions.
  • After installation, restore power and verify oven functions (display, keypad, heating) before use.

Answer

Dean, You will want to check the thermostat for the cooling fan to make sure that it is closing but it will not close until it reaches at least 150 degrees. If the thermostat has failed then the cooling fan will not come on causing the f9 error. If the thermostat checks ok then check the cooling fan to make sure that it is getting 120 vac to it. If it is and not running then this will be a bad fan and if there is no power then this will be a bad control board.
