From reading your website, I'm thinking damper. There are two listed for this fridge, part # WR60X10063 (single) and WR60X10062 (double). From my description, can you determine which is the one that needs replacing? The temp in the freezer and the cold food section are both fine...... More detail: there are actually two different growling or "woodpecker" sounds. A low pitch one if I press the Express Thaw button and a higher pitched one if I press the Express Chill button. Both noises seem to come from the same area at the bottom of the cold food (not freezer) section of the unit. Thank you so much for your help!!!
Answer Hello Bill. The only way to know which one is bad and making noise is to access the dampers and cycle them to see which one is bad.
