Gman for Model Number GSL25JFPABS Freezer cold, refrigerator semi warm. I have replace the thermistor in the freezer, the main control board, the damper assembly and the temperature control assembly. The damper opens from time to time but only stays open for a minute or less. There is no ice buildup in the freezer but there is occasionally a thin coat of frost on the food items that comes and goes. The fan does work. Any ideas?
Answer Gman, Yoy will want to recheck or replace the refrigerator thermistor(not the freezer) WR55X10025 / WR55X10025. Also check and make sure there's nothing in the way of the cover or an article redirecting the air away from the thermistor. Chack and make sure there are no corroded or discolored pins in the connectors and/or loose wires. Frost on the articles in the freezer indicate an intermittent air flow issue, or an air leak. Your refrigerator has a low voltage DC fan motor WR60X10074 / WR60X10074, this type motor does have a tendency to run slow, intermittently or erratically.
