Jim for Model Number TBX 18ZG I have a GE refrigerator Model TBX 18ZG that has start to collect water inside the fridge. It doesn't have an ice maker so there is no water line connect to it. The water appears to be coming from the freezer compartment and begins to run down run down the back of the fridge by the control panel at the top of the refrigerator compartment and collects at the bottom. I turned the unit off for 24 hours thinking there was an ice build up clogging the defrost tube. But the water continued to pool at the bottom of the fridge after that. Please advise Thank you Jim

Answer Jim, You are correct. It will be a defrost drain tube problem. You will need to actually clear the tube. That ice build-up will not melt in 24 hours. A garden sprayer with hot water in it is a good choice. Remove the rear panel in the freezer section and clear all ice from under the evaporator. When you get to the drain hole force hot water through until it drains correctly. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, May 18, 2023
