B for Model Number SCB1001SS The display on my GE profile advantium 120 microwave oven has faded (no longer bright) and is flickering/jumping some. We can still use it but sometimes need to flip the breaker to reset it. I ordered and installed WB27X10856. When I installed it and turned the breaker back on, the screen said "turn dial" - when I turn the dial a bunch of fragmented parts of words show...I can push the button on the dial and the options button and they both beep. Eventually, I was able to turn it and push the buttons enough to get the clock set. Now, it is much brighter (so seems to have fixed the fading) but it is still flickering a bunch and is difficult to use. This flickering does not get worse or better as I turn the knob. Any ideas on what else might be wrong here? Should I take the new digitron out and put the old one back in?
