Nakia for Model Number WBVH5100HOWW My washer started smoking and the I know the belt needs replacing could it be that's why it's smoking or is it the motor? Nothings else is wrong with it but it's smoking while it was spinning.
Answer Nakia, Yes, a badly worn belt WH08X10024 can and will smoke, But the smoke should subside as the spin basket picks up speed. We wouldn't expect an issue with the motor at this point, but you may have a weak or faulty circuit in the inverter WH12X10418 or wiring to the motor. Read More...
