Molly for Model Number JCS560W4WH I have an older range oven combination appliance (Model JCS560W4WH) that needs a new gasket on the oven door. The video that is on your website indicates there are openings into which the replacment gasket's hooks attach, but my old gasket was just pressed between the oven wall and the outside case, with no openings for engagement by hooks. In fact, I had to cut the old gasket off the door and couldn't get the half of the gasket out that remained between the two surfaces, ie. in the gap between the oven wall and the outside case. I think part no. AP2010255 is the appropriate part, but I don't know how I would attach it to the oven. (My gasket was on the oven, not the door.)
Answer Molly, The part number for the gasket for your unit is WB2X2058. To change the gasket you will need to slide the oven cavity forward to get the gasket out and install the new gasket. To do this, unplug the unit and do the following. The oven liner is fastened at the rear with one screw at each of the (2) liner "ear tab" that extend through the rear cover. It is also fastened at the front by 3 screws under the cooktop and 2 screws at the bottom up through the range bottom brace. Slots in the bracket provide access to the screws. Once the screws are removed the oven line will slide forward. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, April 3, 2014
