James Attebury for Model Number FFHS2611LBNA My Frigidaire Refrigerator (4 or 5 yrs. old) makes a loud buzzing noise on the freezer side. I've seen other You Tube videos were the ice maker fill tube is the problem. Why is the top part of the tube cut away? The cut away part of the tube allows water to splash down on the Evaporator Fan Blade and the Fan Blade Shroud. The ice build up on the blade and shroud causes the buzzing noise when the Fan Motor comes on. Where can I get a replacement Water Fill Tube that is no NOT cut away?
Answer James, The "cut away" fill tube 241796405 is designed, with the cut out, to reduce or relieve the possibility of the fill tube freezing up completely. If you have water splashing over or overfilling the fill tube, you will need to make other checks to the water system. Check the filter for replacement, check the reservoir for air, check the water pressure to the refrigerator, and make sure the fill tube is properly seated and sealed to the refrigerator wall and aligned to the ice maker fill spout.
