Dominic for Model Number GSS25KGPACC Hello I have a GE refrigerator model # GSS25KGPACC , and for the second month in a row I have a frozen freezer coil. I took off the defrost heater and checked it for continuity and it has it. Then just to be certain I ran it under hot water and it still has continuity. Also the heater element is dark green and black. This is probably my problem. My wife reminded me that about 2 years ago We experienced this problem and The service guy replaced the heater, I can't find the receipt but it probably was the same defective one I have now. My question is why would it bust after only 2 years? Is this normal?
Answer Hello Dominic. If the heater is showing continuity, then it is good. It sounds like the mother board may be the problem, if the heater and the thermostat showed continuity.
