C for Model Number GSH25SGPASS

As indicated in previous questions by users I removed the back panel of the freezer and it was completely frozen over. I replaced the Defrost Limiter Thermostat and the unit worked great for about two weeks. I am now seeing frost build back up on the rear of the freezer section, again. Would the most common cause of this be the Defrost Heater Assembly instead of the Limiter? Trying to get the right part replaced this time so I'm not "rebuilding" a refrigerator. THANKS IN ADVANCE for your advice!!!

Answer

C., The Defrost Limiter Thermostat, is rated at 140 dgrs.F. and doesn't fail all that often. You should check the evaporator thermistor WR55X10025, and wiring for loose connections and the heater for proper wire connections and any "white" spots on the inside of the glass tube. The more common issue for a defrost problem on this style refrigerator is the "mother board"/ main control board WR55X10942C on the back of the refrigerator.
