Warminator for Model Number TFB26PPDABB My GE TFB26PPDABB STOPPED COOLING ON BOTH THE FRIDGE AND FREEZER SIDES. I CAN HEAR IT RUNNING , light come on when I open the door , AND THE TEMPERATURE IS SLIGHTLY COOL LIKE A SPRING DAY but I need an Alaskan winter in the freezer and a southern winter in the fridge. I tried adjusting the temp dial with no noticeable change. What’s the best repair sequence to start replacing parts.
Answer Open the freezer door and check the very back panel to see if there is frost forming, if there is, you have a defrost problem and the heaters would need to be replaced. If there is not frost present then go to the back of the refrigerator and take the lower back panel off and see if the compressor is running. If the compressor is not running you can check the start relay. If compressor is running, then you have a sealed system problem. Read More...
