Robert for Model Number PSF26NGNABB My problem is the fan appears to have some kind of ice buildup as it starts making a noise after a couple of days after defrosting with a hair dryer. I see some ice buildup on the housing for the ice maker rotate assembly. The freezer maintains 0 and the fridge 37 so that is not a problem. There was some frost on the coils but not major ice. Is that normal? I put the freezer into test mode and tested the defroster and it did not appear to go on. What should I try fixing? It appeared to be a major hassle to get to the fan itself.
Answer Robert, If the coils are icing up then test the defrost limiter for continuity, check the defrost heater for continuity and test the thermistor for resistance of 42.2K ohms while on the evaporator in the ice. If this checks ok then the control board would be the issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, January 16, 2019
