Jim for Model Number GSS 201ETA WW 2 Questions... First, I had been having issues with the refrigerator not cooling and the freezer cooling just fine. After pulling the rear panel, I found the evaporator coils totally covered in ice. I am assuming that the heater is faulty. Is this a correct assumption? Secondly, I have had a non functioning ice maker since last summer when we were without power after severe storms whereas I had the unit connected to my 6500 watt generator and it (generator) had a surge and the maker is no longer working. I have looked at the mother board and notice one of the round electronic gadgets has the end blown out of it. I am assuming that I also need a mother board ??
Answer Hello Jim. You can test the heater to see if it is bad. It should be closed for continuity. If the board is blowed out, then you will need to replace the board. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, April 13, 2011
