Zhijun Y. for Model Number GSS25SGMFBS I have a GE fridge (Model GSS25SGMFBS). The defrost doesn't work so there are a lot ice on the back. How can I make sure if the problem is the heater, the thermostat, the temp sensor or the Main board?
Answer Hello Zhijun. You can test the heater WR51X10055 and the thermostat WR50X10068. The should read closed for continuity when cold. If they are good, you will need to replace the main board assembly WR55X10942C. You can test this with a multi-meter MA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
