Vera, To replace the defrost heater, you will need to disconnect power to the unit. Remove the shelving in the freezer compartment. Take the rear cover off the back of the freezer compartment. Unplug the connector at the top for the heater and thermostat assembly and take out the 2 screws that hold the heater in place and remove. Reinstall in reverse.
