Tom for Model Number JKP78G*K3 The bake element 'popped' and had a visible crack in it so i replaced it with factory oem. However, new element doesn't heat up. I don't think its the control board b/c the broiler element heats up when oven is put into bake mode. I did a continuity test on the new element and it is good. Not sure how to get at the control panel to test wiring, as it shares a control displace with the micro. Wires to element look good. Is it the high limit switch? Do I need to pull the whole unit out to replace/ test circuitry?
Answer Tom, The relay board could have been damaged when the old element popped. Very carefully you can remove the element and test for voltage at the wires for the element disconnected and hit bake and see if you get voltage. Read More...
