Laurie411 for Model Number ge I recently purchased the ice door assembly and was able to successfully replace it on my freezer. Unfortunately, I am still getting frost inside my freezer that is getting in via that door. It is not completely closing. I tried the trick where you put a flash light in the chute, and there is still a sliver of light I can see from the outside. What should be my next step? I know there is a motor that actually does the closing of that ice door, could that need to be replaced? The door IS closing, but obviously not completely. Any ideas why a NEW ice door would not work? It can't be warped since it is new... Please help if you can. Thanks, Laurie
Answer Laurie, You will want to check the solenoid that opens and closes the door to see if the shaft has rust on it that would cause the door not to close properly. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, July 17, 2013
