Don J for Model Number GSS23KGSBCC I replaced the flapper and the solonoid, which was badly rusted. The spring I ordered was for the other side, so put the old one back. Now the door sounds like it is closing, but with a flashlight, I can see a small glow of light at the bottom of the flap, and the shoot is still frosting up, just not as bad. Do you think I need a new spring, and how do I order the correct one?
Answer Don, You will want to make sure that there is no crease in the ice door. Also you may want to put a little bit of grease around the door arm to make sure that it is not causing it to hang up.
