Mark for Model Number PSS26MSWASS Ice won't dispense, water works fine. I accessed the circuit board in the freezer door (under the ice dispenser panel). I unplugged the solenoid for the chute flap from the circuit board and then the ice flowed fine. So I ordered a new solenoid and chute door. No improvement; as before, when I try to dispense ice the solenoid makes a cycling noise (on, off) and the dispenser light flashes on and off but the auger motor does not turn and no ice. Disconnect the solenoid from the circuit board and the auger motor works fine and ice flows, but obviously the chute door does not open. So I then replaced the circuit board. No change. I checked the microswitch and it was fine. Any ideas? I thought for sure it was the solenoid since unplugging it results in the auger then working. Could it be the little circuit board that the dispensing light is on or could my new solenoid be defective?
Answer Hello Mark, Check the wiring harness at the door hinge for damage. If none is found, the issue is most likely a power supply issue on the main board WR55X10942C. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, October 22, 2015
