Understood the door skin needs to be removed before working on any replacement of ice door assembly and solenoid... For the sake of identifying the root cause of problem and minimizing the down time of refrigerator. Would there be any problem to remove the Stainless Steel Skin and put the freezer door (front panel) back temporarily for the purpose of problem isolation? In other words, would the freezer door still work and operable, without the Stainless Steel Door Skin?
