Beaty My ice maker in my GE profile (French door style with drawer freezer) makes a knocking noise every couple of hours or so. Is this because it's not getting enough water to make the ice?
Answer Beaty, This would most likely be an issue where the icemaker heater is not coming on to eject the ice. You will want to check at the control board when the icemaker cycles to make sure that there is 120 vac to the heater. If there is then this would likely be a faulty icemaker.
