Jim M for Model Number PFSF6PKWBBB My icemaker stopped working, the ice in the bin seems melted. The icemaker finger were frozen with the cube not ejected. I defrosted the icemaker. I am trying to determine if the problem is the ice maker or the fan in the freezer compartment. The freeze is at -2, the ice compartment is 20.How do I test the fans?
Answer Hello Jim. Based on the information you provided, you will need to check the fan inthe freezer and see if it is running properly. If so, it sounds like you will need to replace the icemaker assembly WR30X10097 in the unit. It sounds like the gears in the icemaker are broken for the fingers to be frozen in the ice. Read More...
