Hello John, thank you for contacting APP, If you have a multimeter you can remove the glowbar and take a resistance reading on it, this should be between 50 and 150Os resistance, you can also check the amp draw of the glowbar if you have an amp clamp by placing it around one of the wires to the glowbar and taking a reading with the igniter glowing, this should be about 3.2-3.7amps. If either of those is reading out of range then the glowbar has failed. If the glowbar checks good it is a failure of the valve assembly.
