Lynn for Model Number GE WCVH6260HWW Hello - I am having a problem with my GE WCVH6260HWW washer. In the last 2 minutes of spin cycle, there was a burning rubber smell and white smoking coming from the machine and inside the drum. took the back off - belt seems to be ok. Have plugged back in and tried another load, no smoke this time, but washer gets stuck in rinse and spin mode. Any help with what this may be? Thank you.
Answer Lynn, You will want to check to make sure that the inner tub is not moving up and down independently of the outer tub. If it is moving up and down at any point then it sounds like the tub support has broken and the inner tub would need to replaced.
