  • Provides mounting points for control electronics and trim pieces
  • Restores proper alignment so buttons sit flush and operate as intended
  • Common signs include a cracked front frame, loose or shifting keypad, or difficulty fastening the control panel
What's included: One keypanel support assembly.
  • Disconnect power at the breaker and allow the appliance to cool before servicing
  • Remove control-panel screws/trim and place the panel face-down on a protected surface
  • Transfer the keypad/overlay and any brackets from the old support to the new one; avoid creasing ribbon cables
  • If handling the control board, use ESD precautions; verify color and fit before tightening fasteners

Mary for Model Number JCSP42SN1SS

Problem Keypanel Supt Asm Blk Original #WB27T11072 is discontinued, Replacement WG02L02152 is discontinued. I have been unable to locate this part either new or used. I found WB27T11076 or AP4411791 that is exactly the same length and width as my broken part and the printed words on it are also exactly the same as my broken part. I purchased this GE product July 2009! Everything else on the Range worked and looked great. The keypad just bubbled and now I'm not to recycle just throw it out? Does anyone Know of a retrofit?

Answer

Mary, You will want to make sure that there is not a protective coating on the panel that may just need to be peeled off. If there is not then unfortunately the keypad has been discontinued with no suitable replacement made available. Unfortunately we cannot advise if the other would work as there may be a difference in the ribbon connection that would not allow it to work and the manufacturer does not show any type of retrofit for this.
