Chris R for Model Number dss25ksrass When the freezer door is closed, the solenoid pops the arm down very loudly, like a gun shot, and then the auger turns continuously and a burning smell appears. I've disconnected the ice maker. Does this sound like a solenoid issue or a relay or power supply issue? I've read the previous questions and seems my issue is somewhat unique.
Answer Hello Chris. Check for a bad switch. If none is found then replace the board on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
