Marion L. The turn-on knob for the lower oven will not budge when I try to turn it on. I have never tried to turn on the lower oven before this time. I pulled the knob off and noticed that the stem which the knob slides in on seems secured closer to one side of the opening on the plate through which it is threaded (actually up against the hole's edge). Would loosening the screws on the inner plate help?
Answer Marion, loosening the mounting screws could be helpful, the thermostat could be forced against the mounting plate or panel and stuck wont turn.
