Greg for Model Number GE JKP27WOW2WW

I push "Self Clean" and time comes up (default 4 hrs) as it should. I push Start and the "Door Lock" light blinks continuously but does nothing until I hear beeping. The door is not locking as it always has and so the self clean doesn't start. I've tried cycling the power to the oven and see the same thing. It sounds like the control panel is doing *something* when Start is pushed - I hear a very faint click. Do you think the lock motor needs replacement? Everything else on the oven seems to work fine and no error codes.

Answer

Greg, You will want to check to make sure that there is power going from the control board to the door lock assembly. If there is no power from the control board then the you would need a new control board. If there is power from the control board then the lock assembly would need to be replaced.
