Vishwa for Model Number GE Model # JK3000SFSS Hello, I recently ran the self-cleaning mode on my GE wall oven, and while the cleaning cycle was about to end, the oven started making constant rattling noise. We left it to cool for over an hour just to make sure if that was the problem. But since then, whenever we switch on the oven, it starts making that noise. On further check I found out that there is a small push button on top right corner of the oven which is wired inside and it is making that noise, when pressed (by hand or door). Now the oven is not working. This push button I checked online is "RANGE HIGH AMP SWITCH" Part no: WB24T10147 What can be the exact problem here? Is it the door switch or the assembly itself?
Answer Vishwa, the door latch assembly WB10X23814 would need to be replaced to correct the noise caused by the door switch. In regards to the oven not heating, this can be caused by the hi-limit switch WB24X46906 on the back of the oven failing due to an overheating situation (or from age). Read More...
