Uncle Ernie for Model Number GTW485ASJ3WS Hello, I have a General Electric top load washer, that doesn't work. It starts to take in water, stops, and then all I hear is the lid switch locking and un-locking over and over. I'm guessing the lid switch or harness?? What do y'all think? Appreciate your help!
Answer Uncle Ernie, Check harness integrity and continuity from the mainboard to the lid lock assembly. If good, ensure harness connections are fully seated both at the mainboard and lid lock assembly. If the harness tests good, replace the lid lock assembly, the part number WH08X37938 The new part comes with a white moisture barrier. Do not remove this from the new part. Read More...
