Sandy for Model Number WJSR4160DAWW Doing a load of wash, washer filled up, agitated, pumped out the water, and stopped. It would not go into the rinse cycle. Then I could not get washer to do anything. Tried the next day noticed the bottom part of the knob which has an arrow on it did not turn with the top part of the knob. Finally moved it by hand and washer again filled, agitated, pumped out the water and would not go in the rinse cycle. Is that a knob problem or control problem which on your diagram is part 100?
Answer Hello Sandy, You need to remove the knob WH01X10310 and see if the gear like teeth on it are stripped or if the teeth in the timer are stripped. In some cases, the knob has to be replaced and in others, the timer WH12X10297 has to be replaced. Very seldom, both the knob and the timer has to be replaced. This cannot be determined until you check to see which part is damaged. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, April 2, 2014
