Candy for Model Number jvm132k 03 My spacemaker microwave/vent won't heat. When turned on the light inside and fan work but it is not cooking anything. Is the problem the magnetron? If so can it be repaired without pulling it out of it's wall mount. Candy
Answer Hello Candy. If the magnetron WB27X10585 is bad, the unit will not heat. You will also want to test the diode WB27X1160 and make sure it is good. It should only read in one direction when testing. You will need to remove the microwave from the wall mount to access and replace the magnetron and diode. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
