Jim for Model Number Model WPGT935COPL My GE Profile Harmony Washer #Model WPGT935COPL was making a grinding/clicking noise when sensing the load. so i checked the error display and it stated to replace the Coupling Assembly . I did that and it still made the noise and was louder. I then checked and noticed that when I pull on the arm that hooks up to the Motor assembly, the gears do not lock together. Would that be the problem, if so what would you suggest?
Answer Jim, if the shifter arm is not able to move to connect to the motor assembly WH20X10024 then the gearcase WH39X10003 would need to be replaced. However, if the motor assembly does not rotate properly, it can cause the coupling assembly to not engage the gearcase properly. It would be recommended that the motor is observed during operation to identify if it is rotating and allowing the shifter arm to move as needed. Read More...
