Mary for Model Number AP2045453 HOw do I know if I need to replace the boot tub seal? My washing machine leaks near the center bottom of the tub when I pour a gallon of water into it. Is there any way to differentiate between a bad tub gasket and a bad boot tub seal? Model GE WWA5600VBL
Answer Mary, If the washer is leaking from the center of the tub, you'll need the tub boot TJ90LP510 especially based on your post description. The tub gasket usually leaks if the tub is overfilling or in the drain spin cycle. You may need to order both seals, the tub gasket seal could get damaged during the repair. Also, consider new boot seal clamps WH1X1292 and WH1X1580 They can corrode and be a "pain" to remove or reuse. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
