Bernard O June 10, 2013 for Model Number whdsr316goww general electric clothes washer My clothes washer model G.E, # whdsr316goww is intermittantly making holes in some of my shirts.I believe that there is a gasket at the top of my tub that has disintegrated and is missing. Is there a part number for a gasket at the very top of my tub that I can order to repair my clothes washer and can you give me a part number for this repair as it seems like a simple repair. Currently this part of tub has some sharp portions which I think may be causing tears in some of the clothes during perhaps the high speed cycle. Am I correct in this diagnosis ?? and can you help me find correct part?
1 Answer Bernard, If you are looking for the seal at the top of the inner tube then you would need to get the inner balance ring WH45X152. Read More...
Mary May 07, 2012 for Model Number AP2045453 HOw do I know if I need to replace the boot tub seal? My washing machine leaks near the center bottom of the tub when I pour a gallon of water into it. Is there any way to differentiate between a bad tub gasket and a bad boot tub seal? Model GE WWA5600VBL
1 Answer Mary, If the washer is leaking from the center of the tub, you'll need the tub boot TJ90LP510 especially based on your post description. The tub gasket usually leaks if the tub is overfilling or in the drain spin cycle. You may need to order both seals, the tub gasket seal could get damaged during the repair. Also, consider new boot seal clamps WH1X1292 and WH1X1580 They can corrode and be a "pain" to remove or reuse. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
