Corbin for Model Number JTPL5BDWLBB GE The model number is hard to read, so that's the closest I could get. The heating element still glows red, but the stove makes a loud buzzing noise, sometimes when in use, or shortly after turned off. If the element glows red does that mean the heating element is still ok, and there is a different problem, like the starter (?) ?
Answer Corbin, the element glowing red indicates that it should be working properly. The buzzing sound could be coming from a relay that is arcing from not having proper contact in the control board. It would be recommended to inspect the unit for any signs of arcing between the wires and the cabin, as well as signs of an overheating connection in the control board. Read More...
