Lynn for Model Number JBP66W0H2WW My baking element has definitely died and I have no issue with replacing that. When it died however, it arced and threw sparks. Now the broiler seems to get warm, but does not get hot enough to broil. Do the 2 parts work in tandem. Do I need to replace both, or if I replace the baking one does it complete a circuit for the other?
Answer Lynn, it is possible that when the bake element arced, it may have damaged either the wiring or the control WB27X45466. With the range power cord unplugged, each wire can be tested for continuity from each oven element terminal to the wire ends at the control. If the wires test properly, then the control is not allowing a full 240VAC to reach the broil element. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, April 8, 2020
