Scott for Model Number JGB660DEJ5BB Brand new stove. Did the Propane conversion. Surface units, Broil burner work as they should. The Bake burner has a high yellow flame with little blue at the base. I have opened the air shutter all the way as the instructions say. I have slowly closed it until all the way shut checking the difference. At all settings of the air shutter adjustment, the flame and size of the flame remains the same. If I do not cancel the bake, within a minute of checking the flame, the oven will beep and automatically cut off. Then, I have to wait until it cools down before it will go to pre heat mode again. Any suggestions on what is going on with this bake burner and what to do next? Thanks, Scott
Answer Hello Scott, check that the oven LP burner orifices are correct, LP orifice for the broil burner is marked 0.041 with a red dot, the LP orifice for the bake burner is marked 0.047 with an orange dot. next burner's air shutter should be wide open, if flames are still yellow check the burner tube itself , sometimes an insect can crawl into it and cause the same problem. When checking the oven burner with the oven door open, try holding the door switch in and see if the oven heating stays on, some manufacturers do not allow the oven to heat with the door open past a certain time.
