Mark for Model Number JT965SKSS The unit is 2006 vintage GE Profile microwave/oven wall unit. Microwave works fine. None of the oven modes produce any heat (bake, convection, broil). The oven control lights up and appears to work. All three heating elements measure about 20 ohms, temp sensor measures 1100 ohms which I believe is ok. One side of each of the three heating elements goes to an Orange wire that from ohming it out goes to "TB2" on the oven control (GE part number WB27T10566). TB2 only measures 6 ohms to oven chassis ground. Disconnecting the large orange wire at TB2 the 6 ohms to ground is at the control board. The wire side measures open to chassis ground. I am thinking I have bad control board and that this should not be shorted to ground. Thoughts?
Answer Mark, it is correct that the control board should not have continuity to ground through a voltage supply connection going to a heating unit and this could cause failures in operation. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, October 5, 2022
