Kathy for Model Number JGBC15GEN1 I replaced the round igniter on my GE gas range as it was not glowing properly and the food would take forever to cook. Anyway I've done this before with no problem. This time I removed the old igniter replaced the new same exact way as the old one. Turn on the gas and electric turn on stove and the igniter glows the way it should but yet it is not igniting the flames. Like I said I know I did it right because I replaced it once before. Anyone have any ideas why it will not work??
Answer Kathy, You will want to test the oven safety valve to make sure that you are getting 2.5 to 3.2 vac to the valves. If you are then the oven safety valve is the problem and would need to be replaced. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, September 11, 2013
