Brian for Model Number JGBP90MEB3BC Oven frequently does not heat up. When turned on there is an orangish glow in the oven box. Here is the interesting thing, if a stove burner is "left on" the oven works just fine. Not sure if I should chase an ignitor or the dual safety valve? Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.
Answer Hi Brian. It really sounds like you have 2 seperate issues. The oven bake ignitor should read cold resistence of 85-500 ohms. If it does not draw exactly enough current, then the gas valve will not open. This is the most common part to go out. It is part # WB2X9154. The dual safty valve is part # WB19K14. Have you had any gas appliance worked on lately or anything changed with your gas supply that might effect proper performance? Thank you. Read More...
