When the igniter is glowing, it is also creating a 3.2 to 3.6 amp draw or 3.2 to 3.6 VAC to the oven burner valve. The igniter, if it's weak will glow, but not produce the voltage or amperage draw, and the gas valve will not open and release the gas. 95% of ignition problems are due to a weak or broken igniter.
