Jim In Reno for Model Number JGBP26WEV4WW I'M sure my oven igniter is defective. I watched your video on how to replace.. Before I order the replacement part I took the bottom out of my oven to take a look. The igniter is on the back of the burner tube with the mounting screws under the igniter on an angle pointing down toward the metal plate that separates the burner area from the storage drawer. I assume that I must remove the burner tube to install the new igniter then re-install the burner tube. Please confirm. Thanks.
Answer Jim, It is not completely necessary to remove the burner tube to remove the igniter but it is definitely best to because if you hit the new igniter against anything it could potentially be damaged. Remove the burner to make this repair. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, December 22, 2016
