Answer Hello Mrs. Smith. Tappen is manufactured by GE. You will need to test and make sure 240 volts is coming to the unit at the terminal block on the back of the unit and the cord is good. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
