Al for Model Number GE SPECTRA LX44 I set clean oven a puff of smoke came from top of range. Replaced control board,everything works except broiler. Igniter does not glow, do I need to replace it .Afraid to try oven clean again in fear of control board burning up. Thank you
Answer Hello Al. You will need to test the igniter WB2X9154 and make sure there is power coming to it during the broil cycle. If there is power there, and the igniter does not glow, you will need to replace the igniter WB2X9154. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
